Friction and Wear Pattern of Silica-Reinforced Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) in Sliding Contact with a Blade Indenter

This study investigated the friction and wear pattern of silica-reinforced Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) in sliding with a steel blade indenter. The experiments were conducted using pin-on-disc tribometer at various applied loads examined under dry wet contact conditions. Analysis was focused on investigating coefficient length spacing. Related to identification, abrasion theory here. In addition, stick-slip identify spacing also applied. Results show that overall (COF) decreases along increasing loads. COF conditions is much lower beginning time than increases However, it seems there no significant difference between condition. general, experimental results agree qualitatively analytical results.
